You may think I’m being dramatic when I say there are ‘secrets’ of dog food nutrition, but I’m not. Those who make dog food, the commercial manufacturers that is, don’t want you to know two secrets: what is in their product and what your dog really needs. If you know these, you won’t buy their product and they will lose money. If you do buy these products you’ll lose money and you’ll lose your pet, since veterinarians and experts on the health of dogs report commercial dog foods are responsible for the diseases and deaths of thousands of animals.

The secrets are surprising and, in my opinion, quite gross. I bet you didn’t know that most commercial dog foods have nothing to do with dog food nutrition, as they contain feces from animals, decaying body parts and other incomprehensible ingredients. The chemicals used to euthanize dogs are actually in the food (TheDogFoodConspiracy.com lists all these specifically and more). There isn’t regulation of these products to the same degree human food is regulated, so pet owners continue to buy them and their pets continue to suffer in the end. Nobody means for this to happen, by way of owners of course; the industry doesn’t care so much about us losing our pets.

Your dog food nutrition needs can be easily met. You can find prepared dog foods that meet the needs of your pet or you can make your own. I have a lamb and rice recipe that I use for my dog and there are tons available online. You can help your pet stay healthy and focus on dog food nutrition less once you educate yourself a bit more. Good luck on your learning quest and remember to avoid anything related to a dog food manufacturer unless it meets the real health needs of your pet.

I can’t believe learning what makes the best dog food is as difficult as it is. I don’t know how long you’ve been searching for information but I spent too much time. I thought a quick online search would bring back the answers I sought but instead, I found pointless promotions and little useful information. In the end, I still didn’t know what made the best dog food. I did learn it eventually and I did so by learning what kills dogs instead.

Simply put, commercial dog food kills dogs. It causes diseases, permanent physiological changes and results in early death. There are toxins, poisons, feces, rotting corpses and more all contained in commercial dog food. I don’t think we need to be veterinarians or doctors to know these ingredients would be deadly to anything that consumed them. There are many more preservatives and ingredients you should be aware of and avoid at all costs, but they are too dense to list here (TheDogFoodConspiracy.com lists them all).

What you need to know is how to make the best dog food for your pet and, before you protest or roll your eyes, know that it is less expensive then commercial dog food. It is also recommended by experts, which I am not by the way. Those you want to consult are those that study this professionally, so talk to your veterinarian and start consulting similar resources outside of the dog food industry.

Money makes the world go round, or so it seems, since this is another example of how profits take precedence over health. The word is spreading and more and more pet owners are learning of their pet’s true dietary needs, and hopefully you’ll be one of them. If not, you can expect your pet to have a lot of health problems that could have been easily prevented by providing the appropriate diet.

I think it is great that you are looking for information and learning about the choices you have as a pet owner. I think it is even greater that you’re looking for information on a natural choice dog food, but I want to start out with a warning before talking about that specifically. What I want you to consider is that, unfortunately, we live in a time when the bottom line and profit margins overtake the importance of pet health and safety.

Since you’re obviously interested in a natural choice dog food, you may already know how toxic commercial dog food truly is. The manufacturers and advertising agencies portray healthy and vital dogs running about, even in old age, and give credit to the food they produce or promote. In fact, these foods are responsible for the disease and untimely loss of pets, making this a serious issue finally getting the attention it needs (thanks to the internet and sites like TheDogFoodConspiracy.com).

The warning I have for you is to avoid falling for, or being drawn in by the phrase ‘natural choice dog food’, as many will use this idea and platform to simply market their product. Instead, you can learn more about what preservatives and ingredients you need to find and should avoid. You’ll also find that implementing a truly healthy diet for your pet costs the same as it does to buy the foods that are bad for dogs. I’ve seen dog foods with ingredients that are known toxins bring along a price tag equivalent to that of me and my husband eating out at a restaurant! The companies do this because they can and you, as the consumer, are conditioned to fall for their antics and choice of words. Thankfully, you’re now beginning to learn the truth and the next step is to change your pet’s diet – this way you’ll have what the commercials show but without using their product or propaganda.

I believe that all pet owners want a good dog food, because they want what’s best for their pet. The sad truth is that most of us, if not near all of us that have used a commercial dog food, have made a bad choice for our pet. It isn’t our fault, as most of us are not veterinarians or insiders within the dog food industry, so we make the best decisions we can with the information we have. With the Internet making information instantly accessible to literally everyone, the truth about dog food is coming out and spreading like wildfire.

You must choose a good dog food for the same reasons you should choose to eat a healthy diet as a human being! The same principles apply in many ways when it comes to nutrition amongst animals and humans; namely the poison we call ‘preservatives’. The preservatives found in dog foods are not allowed in foods we eat, as they are toxic and in fact deadly. If you don’t choose a good dog food, you’ll certainly find your pet experiencing skin issues, kidney disease and a myriad of other complications that could have been prevented.

To choose a good dog food you must first educate yourself as to what should be included and what should not be included. You’ll have to forget the snazzy packaging and labels claiming to be ‘veterinarian recommended’ and start thinking differently. You can do this and there’s tons of information to help you out. Your own veterinarian will confirm my claims, so at your next appointment discuss this issue. Until then, you can read more at TheDogFoodConspiracy.com if you don’t want to wait. Don’t be concerned about finances either; it doesn’t cost anymore to feed your dog healthy then it does to buy the toxic commercial brands most people are using.

I have to admit that I didn’t research dog food brands too much before deciding which one we’d feed our new puppy. She’s a small breed, so I looked for foods formulated for small dogs. Beyond that, I looked at some all natural foods and even glanced at a cookbook full of recipes to make your own dog food (from human food of course!). While I love my puppy, whose name is Mabel, I wasn’t to keen on cooking for her three times per day. I chose a high-quality commercial dog food that claimed to be veterinarian recommended – good enough for me. The problem was that the food wasn’t good enough for my puppy and a talk with my veterinarian set me straight.

It is quite scary actually. We take for granted the regulation of foods we consume. I assumed someone somewhere had put in place regulations to ensure our pets were kept safe also. Unfortunately this isn’t the case and the commercial dog food brands are full of preservatives, toxins and chemicals that will undoubtedly damage, if not kill, your dog. I live near one of the most renowned veterinary centers in the United States (Cornell) and when I inquired about the dog food brands I should be using, I was told to immediately stop using commercial food. The woman answering my questions made it very simple: there is a dog food conspiracy amongst this industry and pet owners don’t even know it’s going on.

The good news is that you can quickly educate yourself, learn what to feed your dog and how to extend their lifespan and overall health. The report detailing the risks and solutions, which will undoubtedly be banned soon, can be found at TheDogFoodConspiracy.com. If you’re like me and want what’s best for your dog this report is a must-read.

There is a surprising report gaining popularity amongst pet owners and its contents are rather disturbing. A quick dog food analysis, which is what most pet owners are searching for, is something you can do on your own if you have a rubric to use for assessment. If you use the current standards, those set by the dog food industry, then you’re using a biased measurement tool and your results are basically worthless, as they’ll surely indicate a certain commercial dog food is just what you need.

Truth be told, a quick dog food analysis can be done by looking for the key nutrients dogs need and by ensuring toxic chemicals and ingredients (such as feces) are not included. The manufacturers know this and have found tricks to get around savvy shoppers, so commercial dog foods are difficult to choose from when looking for a truly healthy product. Armed with your own grading rubric (get one from TheDogFoodConspiracy.com), the next step is to find a product that meets these standards or simply create your own dog food with ingredients in your kitchen. I realize this isn’t the right option for everyone and I almost ruled it out instantly, until I learned how easy it was to make (I use four ingredients total; lamb, rice, and two more for protein).

A final note, although I’ve said this to some degree already, is to keep in mind that almost all dog food analysis you’ll find online are biased. Knowing this, I encourage you to conduct your own and connect with other pet owners who know this topic first hand. There are many social sites, blogs, chat forums and networks of dog owners who are more then willing and able to help you out – all you have to do is ask!
